Church Worship

Sunday Morning Worship at 10am

“Worship provides Christians with an opportunity to leave behind—for momentary and fragile periods—the structures of inequality and violence that pervade our lives and to imagine—even more, to experience—an alternative mode of being, a place and time where justice and peace are known—a foretaste of the reign of God . . . Political organization, action, and protest will always be necessary if we desire to reform society, but we must pursue ritual action as well—where in an environment of beauty and abundance, in gathering with neighbors and strangers, in the encounter of the Holy, we know a joy that makes us dissatisfied with anything less in our every day lives.” -Scott Haldmann

  • We gather for worship every Sunday at 10:00 a.m. You can join us in person at 1900 E. Barataria Street in Springfield, MO 65804. We also livestream our worship service online every Sunday at 10:00 a.m.
  • Sunday Schools for all ages meet at 9:00 a.m. We have several class options with various courses of study.
Children’s Activities

Nursery Infants through Age 2

Children are always welcome in worship. For those who would like, the nursery is available for infants through two-year-olds on Sundays from 9:00am through the conclusion of Sunday morning activities.

Worship & Wonder 10:00am Age 3 through 2nd Grade

Through Worship & Wonder, children learn about God as they experience God. They hear Bible stories in a way that allows them to enter into the stories and form responses out of their own life experiences. Worship & Wonder is offered during the 10:00 worship service on Sunday mornings (children are dismissed to Worship and Wonder following the Children’s Moment in worship).

Children’s Sunday Schools Sundays from 9:00-9:50am for All Ages

These classes allow for a more in depth look at stories from the Bible and what meaning they hold in our modern day lives. The children are encouraged to reflect, question, and explore.

Kids Club Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30pm  for Age 3 through the 5th Grade

Following the all-church meal served at 5:45pm on Wednesday evenings, children have the opportunity to continue in fellowship with one another as they explore the love of God in stories, songs, crafts, and more. This is also when we prepare the children for special events at BCC such as the Christmas program.
