Hi Brentwood Families! I’m Valerie Bush (she/her), and I am so excited to begin this new journey with the children’s ministry. Some of you might already know me as the new bookkeeper or from my time as the interim Executive Assistant last summer, but my heart for service has always been rooted in children’s ministry.
As a “Mom/Lolly” and a lifelong volunteer, I’ve had the joy of working with a beautiful spectrum of children. I don’t claim to have all the answers, but I love the process of discovering them alongside our young ones! My goal is to continue nurturing the safe, inclusive space that has so carefully been built.
In our time together each Sunday, we’ll keep our “bubble up” and “bubble down” (joys and concerns) traditions alive, explore weekly scriptures through stories and crafts, and, of course, enjoy a snack together. I truly believe everyone is special to God, and I want each one to leave knowing they are deeply loved. Please reach out if you have any questions—I can’t wait to get started!
