Children & Youth

Our children & youth ministries are designed to help participants experience a sense of belonging and love, as well as a desire to help build a world rooted in the kind of dignity, compassion and justice at the heart of Christ’s love.

Sunday Youth Sparkhouse — 9AM

  • Middle School & High School — Room 17

Children’s Church — 10AM

Nursery & Pre-K

We have two Children’s Church options, one for younger children and one for older children.

Each one begins after the Children’s Message in the 10:00 a.m. worship service in the sanctuary (this takes place toward the beginning of the service).

  • Pre-K thru 2nd graders meet in Room 16
  • 3rd-5th graders meet in Room 10.

Children who would like to attend can go with Pastor Sarah after she gives the Children’s Message during the main service. Children who would like to remain in the sanctuary are welcome to do so.

Our youth group gathers regularly to create a safe space for teens in Springfield to:

  • Connect with one another.

  • Engage in critical conversations about faith, social justice, and relevant issues.

  • Have an opportunity to volunteer and make a positive impact on our community.

  • Advocate for systemic change in our city and state.

  • Channel their creativity and artistic abilities into group projects.

Friday Fun Nights

  • 3-year-olds thru 5th grade
  • Last Friday of each month

Wednesday Kids Clubs

  • 3-year-olds thru 5th grade
  • First Wednesdays of each month, 6-7:30 p.m. (nursery provided as well for younger children)

Children of all ages are always welcome in Sunday worship. If you have a fussy child and would like to step out of the sanctuary while continuing to participate in worship via livestream, please feel free to make use of the Wiggle Room in Room 14. This is a comfortable space for kiddos and adults where you can watch the worship service. Please note that children in the Wiggle Room must be accompanied by a grown up who brought them. Children three-and-under can be dropped off in the Nursery in Room 12.

Nursery care for children three-and-under is available from 8:45-11:00 a.m. in Room 12.

The mission of Megan’s Rainbow is to provide a safe space for LGBTQ teens to interact with peers, share coping skills, and enhance their understanding of self and others. Our goal is to foster resiliency and healthy choices within the individual while promoting unity within our community.

This is a free group that meets at Brentwood Christian Church for teens 14-17 years-old. Participants must have parent/guardian permission.
